Art Show – Information for Artists

To register for panel space please send an email requesting the number of panels you would like to Art Show Coordinator and mail in a deposit of $10 per panel by cheque or money order made payable to Keycon 36 to the Keycon mailbox: Keycon

or send a request to the Art Show Committee Chair to make alternate arrangements for electronic payment methods.

Keycon art panels are a 2′ wide by 4′ tall space that you can use as needed. You must make sure we have room to put the bid sheets with your art so please make sure you book enough room. If you’re not sure how many panels you need please feel free to Email the Art Show Team telling them how big your pieces are and they will be happy to tell you how many you should get.

All sold pieces are subject to a 20% commission from the sale of the piece. Your deposit is returned to you with your check post-convention. Paperwork can take us a few days to cross check and confirm.

Art Drop Off and Pick up! And Important Dates!

After you have applied for the show, we will be adding you to the email list from the Art Show Team. This will allow them to update you on any changes made to the current layout or plans of the show. And a phone number will be sent to you at that time on how to get a hold of the Art Show Team by phone!

Control Sheet Due: Monday May 13th, 2019

Any control sheet not emailed to the Art Show Team by midnight on this day may not be accepted! All elements on the control sheet needs to be filled out as well as you can. If you are having trouble with it CONTACT US BEFORE THE DUE DATE! We will happily help you out!

Art Drop off: Thursday May 16th, 2019

4:00pm to 10:00pm

Any art not dropped off on this day will need arrangements for another Drop off time. Remember to bring your art, If you are still working on a piece, that can be arranged to bring it on the Friday we will just note it on your sheet. If you have a Specific Layout planned for your art work, bring that as well, we will happily follow it.

Art Show Set Up: Friday May 17th, 2019

Feel free to come set up your own art, or even come down to help set up others. All the help the team can get the easier it is on them! We would love to open before our official open time if we could! And the more help we have the sooner we can open.

Art Hours:
Friday 7:00pm – 10:00pm
Saturday 10:00am – 6:00pm, 8:00pm – 10:00pm
Sunday 10:00am – 12:00pm <- Last bid at Noon!
Art Show is open to the public for quick sales and to look at like an actual Art Gallery. Please feel free to come down with a few friends and explore! (the convention is not free to general public, but the Art Show and Dealers Den is!)

Art Pick Up: Sunday May 19th, 2019

2:00pm to 4:00pm
Any art not picked up at this time, will be sent to the Art Show Team’s Private room, and then sent home with them. You will have to arrange another Pick up time with them.

Important things to note:
Due to the amount of paperwork to track each piece of art, the Art Show Team needs time to prep for Drop off day. Be kind and get your paperwork in on time! If you need help with the paperwork, please CONTACT the art show team. They will be happy to arrange a day for you to come to one of the many meeting points to fill out the paperwork. Or can even work with you over the phone, skype, text, or email. Just send them a message.

Art Drop off day, is at the hotel, and done in the teams PRIVATE room, so please note that this is done on the day we load in, but you will be sent an email long before the day with the phone number to contact to gain access to the private suite.

You are welcome to come to the convention to help hang your artwork, or set it up with the team on Friday, in fact we encourage this. This allows you to see how we work and handle your art, and how effective our drop off was. This is not mandatory, we will happily hang the art for you. And if you have a specific way you want it hung, when you drop off your artwork feel free to give us a hanging layout!
