Welcome to Ash’s Trashes and Treasures, Provider of fine and found objects. This little company prides itself as being environmentally friendly with many of the items being from found and thrifted situations. The creator is a Jack of many skills, Master of a few, and Dabbler of many. But saying that you are going to find many AMAZING items in their little spot of the Keycon Market.
You will find Shinnies for your accessories, home and even you! Come down to peek at everything this lovely maker has to offer. They can also make custom Shinnies for you!
Authors of Manitoba
Authors of Manitoba is a non-profit authors collective that helps authors find their voice, and their audience. Our KeyCon 2024 lineup includes, Scarlet Kol, Casia Schreyer, 14-year-old Nathan Schreyer, and more. We will have books of all flavors for all audiences.
Ron Hore, Susan Haire, and the Bursting With Books Table
A regular at Keycon over the years, the Bursting With Books Table is a joint effort by a few local Winnipeg fiction authors to present their work at various craft and industry sales in the Winnipeg area. Not all of our affiliated authors can be available at every event.
For Keycon 2024 we will have two local authors on hand promoting their novels, Ron Hore writing as R.J. Hore, and Susan Haire writing as Maureen Castell. In addition, Ron’s wife Barbara will be present with her collection of handmade gnomes, some themed for this event.
These Winnipeg authors both write in the science fiction and fantasy genres and will fit in well with this Con. Feel free to drop over and examine our wares or to just to talk about writing.
Firby Creations
Firby Creations takes inspiration for our projects comes from epic fantasy and steampunk genres, and a love of tabletop games.
Working with wood and leather, our goal is to make things that look as good in your home as they would in Middle Earth, Hogwarts, Westeros, Pern, or anywhere you’d find dragons and wizards, elves and dwarves
Machine Gal Milliner
Erin MacMillan, the weird little mind behind Machine Gal Milliner, creates wonderful fantasy costume hats, headpieces, masks, and accessories. Each piece of wearable art is hand-crafted, hand-painted, and unique. Horns are a specialty of hers, whether you want to channel your inner unicorn or lead a Barbarian horde into battle.
A lifelong costume fanatic, Erin is no stranger to spending hours wearing some kind of nonsense, and has used that experience in her designs. Items are constructed to be as lightweight and comfortable as possible, and will often include up-cycled materials.
From subtle to stunning, from whimsy to wow-factor, she’s got something to enhance any festival/concert/coffee-with-the-ghouls ensemble.
Commissions are accepted on a case-by-case basis.

“Hello, lovely souls! I am Kait, or better known as Moonchild – the heart and soul behind Moonchild Creations!
Creating has always been a part of my being, a passion that ignites a fire within me. In the past two years, I made a conscious decision to follow my creative dreams wholeheartedly. As a lifelong nerd, my creations are a reflection of my deep-rooted love for all things whimsical and fantastical.
My dear grandma, a radiant source of inspiration in my life, passed down her wisdom and skills in wire wrapping and jewelry making to me. Her teachings resonate in every piece I create, as does my innate connection to the mystical world as a hereditary witch.
From intricate necklaces to enchanting bracelets and magical earrings, to even crafting roach clips, gem trees, wire-wrapped stones, and mesmerizing resin arts – my creations are a manifestation of my innermost desires and inspirations.
I am overflowing with excitement to connect and share my creations with all of you at Keycon. Can’t wait to see you there, dear souls! Until then, stay magical!
