Keycon is Manitoba’s premier Science Fiction & Fantasy Literary Convention. It focuses on science fiction, fantasy and related literary genres in any form. It includes, but is not limited to, writing, visual arts, television and film.

Keycon 36 is now over, the sounds of cleaning and packing up can be heard on the 15th floor after a busy 3 days.

We would like to take this time to say our Thank Yous.

First and foremost thank you to all of our attendees for making it out! We saw a lot of new faces this year and hope to see you again next year.

Thank you to our ConCom (Convention Committee) who worked hard through the year, weathered the storms and put in so much time into the convention.

Thank you to our teens and the other volunteers we procured throughout the weekend, your help is always valued and we appreciate everyone of you.

Thank you to our Marketplace Dealers, who came down to sell their wares throughout the weekend and our artists whose beautiful art was displayed and bid on over the weekend.

Thank you to our Guests Of Honour, Lee Moyer, Tanya Huff and Carrie Vaughn for coming to join us for our crazy May long weekend convention.

Thank you to our panelists for putting on the work to put on so many amazing programming items.

To the Radisson Hotel staff for being wonderful and supporting us year after year.

And to our Charity, the Rainbow Resource Centre which we raised over $1000 dollars for over the course of the convention.

  • the 50th anniversary of Monty Python
  • the 40th anniversary of Mad Max
  • the 200th anniversary of “The Vampyre” appearing in print
  • and the 80th anniversary of the Wizard of Oz.
