What Is It?
“Roll for Memberships” is a promotion to encourage earlier registration for Keycon 42
How does it work?
Each member who registers online at the Keycon online store with a full weekend adult membership before January 1, 2026 (CST) will be eligible for “Roll for Membership”.
After January 1, 2026 – the Keycon 42 convention chairs (conchairs) will run a live stream event during Keycon Lite.
During this live stream event:
- The co-chairs will randomly draw eligible members from the online store who registered before Jan 1 2026.
- For each drawn member, the member will roll a giant fair d20 if they’re in attendance at Keycon Lite. If not, the co-chairs will roll for them.
- If the roll is a natural 20, the person will be asked a “Skill Testing Question” which must be answered within 60 seconds. If the member isn’t in attendance, a phone call will be attempted.
- If the member can’t be reached, or fails the skill testing question, they will be set aside and the next member will be drawn.
- If the member rolls a natural 20 and answers the skill testing question, their adult weekend membership for Keycon 2026 will be free, and their fee will be refunded.
- Once 10 free memberships have been won, or the eligible member list has been exhausted, the contest will be closed.
