How old do I need to be to volunteer?
Volunteers need only be 16 during the time of the convention to apply. However, certain shifts will require that you be 18 years of age or older.
What kind of benefit(s) would I get for volunteering at the convention?
Volunteers who work 8 hours at the convention (2 x 4 hour shifts) will be eligible for a discounted membership of $49.99. The Convention Committee will also be hosting a thank-you BBQ for all volunteers after the convention.
How long would I be expected to work during the convention?
Currently, we are planning to have all volunteers complete 8 hours of service (2x four hour shifts through out the weekend).
How can I obtain my discounted membership?
Volunteers will pay for and receive their memberships at the convention through registration.
What would be my duties as a volunteer at Keycon?
During your shift, you will be assigned to assist certain departments with their operation. This could include Registration, The Information Booth, Set Up/Tear Down, Ushering for Panels, Floating the Convention checking for badges or any Miscellaneous Assistance Required etc.,
