There are a lot of other things at the convention that you are probably familiar with.\u00a0 We have a masquerade \/ costume \/ cosplay contest, a tabletop gaming room and a marketplace for you to purchase that extra something for your costume, the out-of-print book or game you’ve been searching for or something else that tickles your fancy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You’ve heard of an ice breaker?\u00a0 This is an ice-cream breaker!\u00a0 Get to know the guests over a cup of ice cream after opening ceremonies.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSaturday afternoon\n\n\n\nMasquerade \n\n\n\n It’s part costume contest and part fashion show\/ exhibit\/ presentation\/ skits\/ dance routines … and more!\u00a0 There are many reasons why our members spend all year planning preparing for The Masquerade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSaturday night\n\n\n\nThe Social\n\n\n\n The Social is a Manitoba tradition.\u00a0 If you’re from Manitoba, no further explanation is required.\u00a0 For our visitors from out of town, this our dance.\u00a0 A chance to shake a leg & listen to great music all night long, catch up with old friends &\u00a0 make new ones, and participate in a late-night snack.\u00a0 It’s a great way to spend a Saturday night.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAll weekend\n\n\n\nGaming\n\n\n\n Gaming is one of the core activities at Keycon. Board gaming is a great way to make some new friends! We thank Game-a-toba for letting us try out all the wonderful games. Some years we have pinball, and Role Playing Games have become one of the places to be. Often you can peek into one of the hospitality suites to see someone playing a video game.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAll weekend!!!\n\n\n\nHospitality Suites\n\n\n\n (Often referred to as the Con-Suites) are a set of hotel suites that have been reserved for Keycon.\u00a0 Typically, they are themed, and most people should find something that suits their taste.\u00a0 During the day, they are themed, and most people should find something that suits their taste.\u00a0 During the day, they can be a place to sit down for a rest, catch up with a friend, play a game and more.\u00a0 In the evening, they are far busier.\u00a0 You could find a filk concert in one suite, a LAN-party in another suite, and the sky’s the limit in a third….
