Janny Wurts and Don Maitz share a real world magical encounter as a married team with similar creative goals, at times painting side by side in their studio and occasionally pooling their efforts in projects like the Empire series, where Janny co-write the novels with Ray Faist and Don created the covers. Magical Encounters is the first time their work has been featured together in one collection.
