Information

If you have a problem you can go to Convention Operations is on the hospitality floor.  You can also flag down any Con-Com member if you  see us around.  Many of our con-com are first aid certified and we are more than happy

Is Keycon kid friendly?

Absolutely!  In fact, as a 40 year old convention, a lot of kids have grown up attending Keycon since they were babies.  In some cases, we have 4 or 5 generations of con-goers!

Our record for the youngest in attendance is currently 2 days old! We also ensure that your child’s badge has your name and phone number for contact in case of emergencies. .

.
What is there for my kid to do?

Many panels are kid friendly, and we will have kids programming items planned throughout the weekend.  Some years the hospitality suites also include activities for kids.  As well, we have our board game room with a variety for all ages.

This year we have a kid specific programming lead to focus on different children centered activities and entertainment.  Once the schedule is available, you can check our programming grid..

.
What about my teenager?

In addition to having programming specific to children, this year we have a programming lead that is focusing on programming and activities of interest to a younger crowd that are beyond the kiddie things.

There is a hospitality suite that runs some years that started as a teen room.  As the teens have grown into young adults the room has maintained it’s alcohol free status and focuses on being a safe place to hang out.

.
teenage volunteers?

If your teenager has volunteer time for credit at their high school, feel free to contact us.  It is a little tight to get all of the hours they need at just the convention but we have opportunities thoughout the year for volunteer work, and have helped high school students with their paper work and have later been used as a reference for jobs.  We also just really appreciate volunteers whenever they offer!

.
where can we eat?

One opportunity for meals is the community building breakfasts, ask at registration.

Some of the hospitality suites offer food.  Right within the hotel there is a resaurant, otherwise there are several places hnear the hotel to eat.  We have a guide available for attnedees in case they want to know where to go.

.
Is there a designated quiet area?

Yes, at the convention we do.  For more accessibilities section.
